Brand Identity / Logotype / Package
About
Fairy Mellos is a café operated by a spatial design studio.
By overlapping a cup of coffee with the meaning of space, it offers a small pause to linger in,
and leaves an aftertaste that gently carries into the next moment of everyday life.
Brand Identity & Logotype
The logotype is structured as a flowing sequence rather than a pause.
Through proportion and spacing, it reveals moments of space between everyday life, and is designed to allow sensation to linger even after the form has disappeared.
Print / Package
The visual language is designed around aftertaste and traces that remain even after
the experience has passed. Through he movement and texture of coffee, and the rhythm
created by space, fleeting afterimages and small moments of pause are captured,
visually connecting the flow and traces of lingering sensation as they carry into the next
everyday moment.
1 Menu Design (for print)
By utilizing the natural movement and texture created by coffee within the cup,
each cup is composed to be experienced as a continuous sequence rather than a single moment.
2 Coaster Design
A trace that stays, long after the cup has gone.
3 Package Design
The package’s delicate structure, enclosed in a classic manner, gently invites the stories held
by Fairy Mellos to be revealed over time.
Through a classic form inspired by letters and correspondence, the design conveys
the brand’s attitude of allowing aftertaste to linger.
